'The Third Man' Director: Carol Reed (1949)

King of Comedy DVD Italian Filmed in silvery black and'The King of Comedy' Director: Martin Scorsese (1982) Darkly comic exploration of delusion, frustration and shallowness. De Niro gives one of the great performances as 'Rupert Pupkin' a man obsessed with gaining recognition and fame as a comedian who persistently pursues his idol 'Jerry Langford' (Jerry Lewis) with the aim of getting a spot on his chat show. Often uncomfortable to watch normal human interaction seems beyond more than one character.
